Phoenix Ventures Project works to educate, train, and prepare incarcerated and transitioning individuals for high-demand technical jobs and entrepreneurial endeavors. Proper education gives motivated participants a fair and equal chance to succeed; their success, in turn, will positively transform families and communities affected by incarceration.

By focusing on education and training for jobs and opportunities of the new and emerging tech and green economy, participants have an opportunity to return to society ready for the employment of the future.

Phoenix Ventures Project creates a pathway to economic self-sufficiency for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated citizens of the District of Columbia. We reimagine small business opportunities for returning citizens by equipping them with the skills, information, and connections necessary for setting up a business or pursuing an in-demand, high-tech occupation. Our program will reduce recidivism and strengthen communities.
